Scholarships, Grants, and Loans
NOTE: The awards below are for new traditional undergraduate freshman and transfer students who begin attending Corban in the 2025-2026 academic year.
University Scholarships & Grants
Free money awarded by Corban University on the basis of merit or financial need. You may qualify for ONE (1) scholarship or grant in each category for Academic, Talent, and Affiliation. Awards in the “Additional Aid” category as well as outside scholarships and federal aid may be added on top of this. All awards require full-time enrollment.
Academic (choose one)
Automatically awarded to new on-campus undergraduate freshman based on high school GPA.
Automatically awarded to new on-campus undergraduate transfer students based on college GPA.
Talent (choose one)
Awarded to athletes recruited by Corban coaches to compete on a collegiate athletic team.
Talented vocal or instrumental musicians of any major may audition for a music scholarship.
Students who participate in Corban Theatre productions as actors, stage crew, or other supporting roles may apply for a theatre scholarship.
Affiliation (non-athletes choose one)
Open to AWANA participants who have earned a Timothy, Meritorious, or Citation Award. Scholarship amount based on the highest AWANA award level earned.
Does your church want to contribute toward your tuition? Through this grant, Corban will match the amount from your church, up to $1,000 per school year.
Open to transfer students coming to Corban University from Chemeketa Community College, Linn-Benton Community College, and Clackamas Community College.
Available to students who have participated in Free Methodist Bible Quizzing competitions.
Recognizes transfer students who have attended a two-year community college or other academic program and hold membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Open to incoming freshmen who earned college credits at a two-year community college or other two-year program while in high school and are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
If either of your parents work as a paid employee in full-time Christian ministry, whether for a church or faith-based nonprofit organization, you might qualify for this grant.
If one of your parents graduated from Corban University (or Western Baptist College), this grant is for you. Join the legacy of alumni making a difference in the world for Jesus Christ!
Corban welcomes homeschool graduates and offers this scholarship to new freshmen who earned a high school diploma through a homeschool education.
This scholarship is open to new freshmen who graduate from private Christian high schools that hold membership in the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) or the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS).
Available to any new on-campus undergraduate student who regularly attends a church that is part of the Venture Church Network.
This scholarship recognizes students who have attended Worldview Academy or Worldview Bridge Year (formerly Worldview at the Abbey).
This grant supports families who are sending more than one student to Corban. If you have a sibling enrolled at the same time as you, you may be eligible.
Additional Aid (non-athletes choose all that apply)
Awarded based on factors like financial need, FAFSA information, and enrollment priorities, this grant reflects Corban’s commitment to equipping students to make a difference for Jesus Christ.

The FFA Officer Award is for new on-campus undergraduate students who have held any type of state office in Future Farmers of America (FFA).
Invite-Only
Students eligible for these scholarships will be notified and invited to apply.
The Presidential Scholarship recognizes the best and brightest students who exhibit high academic achievement, thoughtful scholarship, and a deep commitment to Jesus Christ.
This scholarship is awarded as part of the Mosaic Scholars program at Corban University, which connects, equips, and educates emerging student leaders from underrepresented backgrounds who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.
Federal & State Grants
Free money awarded by federal or state government on the basis of financial need
The Federal Pell Grant is automatically awarded to undergraduate students who experience exceptional financial need demonstrated by the FAFSA.
The Oregon Opportunity Grant (OOG) is Oregon’s largest state-funded, need-based grant program for college students. Open to Oregon residents enrolled at least half time in an undergraduate program.
This special grant is reserved for undergraduate students who demonstrate a high degree of financial need through the FAFSA.
Students who plan to teach in a high-need field that serves low-income families for at least four years after earning their degree may qualify for this grant.
Loans
Borrowed money that must be repaid
A Federal Subsidized Loan is a need-based loan that does not require payments and does not accrue interest until six months after you graduate or unenroll from college.
An Unsubsidized Direct Loan can be added on top of a Subsidized Direct Loan. This type of loan does accrue interest while you are in college.
Alternative loans can sometimes help bridge the gap between your total college cost and all the aid and other loans you’ve received.
The Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) can be taken out by parents of dependent undergraduate students to help cover college tuition and fees.
