What to Expect

A Deep Commitment to God’s Word

At the heart of Corban’s M.Div. program is an unwavering belief in the authority and inerrancy of Scripture. Every course is built on the foundation of God’s Word—approached with reverence, theological integrity, and a focus on real-world application. You’ll be challenged not only to understand biblical truth, but to faithfully apply it within the complex cultural and ministry settings where God has placed you.

Flexible Course Format

The Master of Divinity is available online, on campus, or in a hybrid format that blends online learning with face-to-face instruction. You can complete the degree in as few as three years full time, or pace your studies part time to balance your academic, personal, and ministry responsibilities.

At Corban, we understand that ministry doesn’t pause for seminary—so your coursework won’t be abstract or detached. Every assignment is designed to integrate with your current ministry, helping you grow in wisdom, skill, and spiritual maturity as you serve.

Four Key Areas of Study

Throughout the program, you’ll engage deeply in four key areas that shape effective, Christ-honoring ministry:

  • Theology – Explore the character of God, the redemptive work of Christ, and the Spirit’s role in the life of the Church.
  • Bible – Survey the full narrative of Scripture, learning to interpret and apply it faithfully and holistically.
  • Leadership – Grow in servant leadership, spiritual formation, and ministry practice through hands-on learning and supervised experience.
  • Church Ministry – Receive focused training in preaching, pastoral care, and ministry leadership to shepherd others with biblical wisdom and integrity.

Instruction and Mentorship from Ministry Experts

Your professors at Corban are more than educators—they’re pastors, missionaries, church planters, and nonprofit leaders who bring a wealth of ministry experience to their teaching. They understand the joys and challenges of ministry because they also live it.

Whether you’re learning online or in person, you’ll have access to faculty who are approachable, invested, and eager to support your growth. They’ll not only challenge you academically—they’ll walk alongside you as mentors and fellow laborers in the Gospel.
