About Dr. Stewart

Before teaching, Dr. Stewart served for ten years as an associate minister in his hometown of El Dorado, Kansas. Then he taught high school Bible classes and New Testament Greek at Veritas Christian School in Lawrence, Kansas, for thirteen years. He also served as an online adjunct at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for three of those years, instructing undergraduates and graduates in New Testament Survey and Elementary Hebrew. His doctoral dissertation was a biblical-theological exegesis of the suffering Son of Man from Daniel 7 to Genesis to Revelation.

Spencer married his high school sweetheart, Amber, in 2002, and they have three children, one daughter-in-law, and one grandson. When not studying or teaching, he enjoys worshiping with his acoustic guitar and watching basketball with family and friends.

Recently Taught Courses

I was attracted to Corban because of its confidence-inspiring administration, engaged students, and faculty who are faithful to God's self-revelation in Scripture. It is a joy to strive side by side for the faith of the gospel (Phil 1:27). Jesus truly is worthy of it all!
