A longtime faculty member and leader within Corban’s School of Education, Dr. Imig stepped into the role of Vice President for Academic Administration in June 2025. He brings a deep passion for Christian education, a strong rapport with faculty, and a vision for organizational excellence to his role overseeing academics and faculty at Corban.

With more than two decades of experience in K-12 and higher education, Dr. Imig has served across a broad range of roles in education and athletics, including teaching, administration, coaching, and consulting. Since joining Corban’s education faculty in 2008, he has taught a variety of courses such as Instructional Alignment, Philosophy of Education, Leadership in Education, and Worldview & Ethics in Education. He has served as a national scorer for edTPA and has presented on the assessment locally and internationally.

In addition to his academic work, Dr. Imig has consulted with K-12 Christian schools on integrating faith and learning into curriculum, equipping teachers to grow in their confidence and ability to teach from a biblical framework. He also founded Corban’s annual Christian Educator Conference, creating a practical opportunity for local teacher development.

Dr. Imig’s leadership as VPAA is shaped by a commitment to supporting faculty, fostering teaching excellence, and ensuring students are equipped not only with knowledge but also with the practical skills and spiritual foundation to make a difference for Jesus Christ.

He says, “I’m passionate about helping teachers get better at teaching. And I’m passionate about students being able to learn in meaningful, effective ways. This role allows me to bring those passions together and help shape how we continue to educate students at Corban.”

Dr. Imig is married to Jennifer, and they have three children: Isaiah, Arie, and Ruby. He enjoys spending time with his family, sports and exercise, reading historical biographies and novels, and traveling.

NWCCU ACCREDITATION

Corban University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and completed a Year-Seven Comprehensive (Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness (EIE)) in 2022 for continued accreditation. The comprehensive self-study was followed by an onsite evaluation in October 2022. In February 2023, Corban received reaffirmation of its accreditation for 7 years. Corban University’s last Mid-Cycle Evaluation was fall 2018, and its Policies, Regulations and Financial Review (PRFR) was completed in fall 2021. As of our most recent evaluation, Corban University is compliant with the Standards, Policies, and Eligibility Requirements of the NWCCU.
