Graduation Requirements & Preparation

Are you clear to graduate? Have you completed all the necessary steps to ensure that you will be able to graduate and participate in the commencement ceremony?

Important Information for All Students

Requirements

  • Fill out an application to graduate: Students must apply for graduation by filling out an application form and paying the nonrefundable graduation fee. The application must be received by the deadlines posted in the college catalog. Undergraduates, online undergraduates, and all graduate students apply online for graduation.
  • Deliver all transcripts from other institutions: All official transcripts from other institutions must be received in the Registrar’s office by April 1st. Seniors enrolled in a spring quarter class at a community college will have their graduation delayed until the following December. Participation in the graduation ceremony will be delayed until the following spring.
  • Complete the general course requirements: refer to the University Catalog.
  • Settle all financial obligations to the University.

Commencement

Commencement exercises take place once a year at the end of spring semester.

Diplomas

Please make sure that the Registrar’s Office has your current mailing address on file. Diplomas for students graduating in August or December will be mailed once a final degree audit is completed and degrees are posted.

We will have a representative from Jostens on campus at our Grad Finale event. They can assist you with ordering graduation announcements, class rings, and other graduation items. You may also go online and order directly from the Jostens website.

Rehearsal

  • Rehearsal will be held the day of Commencement just prior to the ceremony. All graduates must plan to attend dressed in cap and gown.
  • There is no food available onsite, so plan accordingly.

Tickets

Corban University Commencement is a ticketed event. Tickets are not required for children under 2 years of age. Guests will not be allowed to enter the auditorium during the processional or recessional. Anyone requiring special seating should arrive at least a half hour before the ceremony begins.

Number of Tickets

Each student participating in graduation will be permitted a set number of tickets for his/her guests. This set number is based on anticipated participation and available seating.

How to Get Tickets

Tickets are only available to eligible candidates for graduation who have filled out an application for graduation and indicated that they will be participating in graduation. If these two criteria are met, tickets will be available for pick-up at Grad Finale.

Extra Tickets

If you need extra tickets, we recommend checking with others who are graduating to see if they are using all of their tickets.

Graduates

Participating graduating students do not need a ticket for themselves.
