“You either serve God or you serve money,” Corban alumnus Jeff Coffey was told over and over in his early days in ministry. For years, Jeff tried to adhere to the idea that ministry should be free from the bonds of business. But his creativity and entrepreneurial mind kept insisting otherwise.
Corban University has announced that they will begin accepting the Classical Learning Test (CLT) as an alternative to the SAT and ACT, beginning Fall 2018. Created in 2015, the CLT has increasingly been embraced by colleges and universities as an acceptable exam for college admission requirements.

On March 8, Corban University Theatre’s “Alice” opened for its premiere performance. Written and directed by alumna Rachel Ost, the show brings Lewis Carroll’s characters to life in a world eerily reminiscent of our own.
On Wednesday, February 28, Corban University welcomed Dr. Preston Sprinkle, author of “People to be Loved” and founder of Center for Faith, as the speaker for the Christian Thought Leader Conference. This semester’s CTL Conference focused on the topic of “Faith, Sexuality, & Gender.”
“Truly, I do not like the book Alice in Wonderland.” Coming from Corban alumna Rachel Ost, the statement is a bit surprising. After all, Alice in Wonderland was the inspiration behind her very first full-length show, Alice—the show she’s directing at Corban University this spring.
At the SAIF Agri-Business Banquet on Friday, January 19, President of Corban University Dr. Sheldon C. Nord announced that the school would be launching its business concentration beginning in the fall.
“Let me fix you! Let me make you tea,” Jordan Konkler says. Ever since she was a little girl, she’s had an innate desire to help people feel better. But her journey to becoming a health science major at Corban University wasn’t always straightforward.
Liz (Hamre) Dunn and her husband Nate Dunn have been singing and writing music together since they were both involved in music at Corban. Today they write for Melody & Truth, a group comprised of Nate, Liz, and a revolving collective of local musicians.
A 2014 graduate of Corban University, Caleb has used his degree in elementary education in unexpected ways, first with a private Christian elementary school in Indonesia and then with Devslopes.

SALEM, Ore. – Corban University Athletics announced on Friday, December 22nd, that they are officially raising funds towards a new state-of-the-art athletic complex on campus.
Corban University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and completed a Year-Seven Comprehensive (Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness (EIE)) in 2022 for continued accreditation. The comprehensive self-study was followed by an onsite evaluation in October 2022. In February 2023, Corban received reaffirmation of its accreditation for 7 years. Corban University’s last Mid-Cycle Evaluation was fall 2018, and its Policies, Regulations and Financial Review (PRFR) was completed in fall 2021. As of our most recent evaluation, Corban University is compliant with the Standards, Policies, and Eligibility Requirements of the NWCCU.
