About Dr. Dixon
Dr. Dixon taught secondary school business and computer courses for 13 years, which included four years at an international school in Nairobi, Kenya. She began her career in higher education by teaching at Chemeketa Community College’s Santiam campus, as well as teaching computer skills to adults in custody pursuing a bachelor’s degree. She also spent 11 years teaching MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) candidates at George Fox University and supporting and directing the university’s regional sites in Salem, Redmond, and Boise. Dr. Dixon joined Corban in 2013 and currently teaches graduate-level courses in the School of Education.
Kristin likes traveling (she has been to more than 30 countries), hiking, drinking coffee with family and friends, spending time with family, and serving at her church.

First of all, I believe teaching represents a calling from the Lord and provides significant opportunity to love, educate, guide, and influence others. Corban has a strong presence in local school communities—both public and private, faith-based schools—as well as schools in Indonesia. It is a privilege to serve beside educators, knowing the long-term spiritual impact this profession has on others.
