Professor Alburn has been an educator in the Salem-Keizer School District for 17 years, and a member of Corban’s faculty since 2017. During her years as an educator, she taught middle school language arts, including specializing in intervention classes for struggling readers. Along with her teaching duties, she both taught and coordinated the AVID program for her schools while leading numerous after school clubs and activities.

Married to her husband Jacob since 2004, together they enjoy raising their four children, Abigail, Bethany, Jubilee, and Ezra. In her free time, Rebecca can be found exploring nature, visiting the coast, volunteering at her local church, reading, and baking.

“I firmly believe that teaching is a ministry and calling from the Lord. I find great joy in mentoring new teachers, and Corban is an incredible place to ‘pass the torch’ to future educators who will, in turn, be a light to their students.”
