About Dr. Fields
After graduating from Indiana University, Dr. Fields began her career as the Program and Aquatic Director of a YMCA in Indiana. In this role, she administered a multi-million-dollar government grant focused on reducing drowning deaths by ensuring all school-age children in the county learned to swim. She also led efforts to address childhood obesity by integrating physical education programs through the YMCA and building community partnerships through fitness and sports initiatives.
She later joined WebMD as a health educator, where she worked with approximately 10,000 participants across the country to improve physical and mental health through exercise and dietary modifications.
After moving to Oregon and completing naturopathic medical school, Dr. Fields practiced primary care for several years while also teaching Anatomy and Physiology as an adjunct professor. Following the birth of her children, she transitioned to full-time work in higher education.
Prior to joining Corban, she served for six years as both Director of Education and a faculty member at a small college in Portland.
Jamie married her husband, Kevin, in 2015, and they have two daughters, Olivia and Lily. Their family enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle. Before having children, Jamie and her husband hiked the Oregon section of the Pacific Crest Trail, and they now include their daughters in hiking and backpacking adventures, with the goal of completing the trail together.
She also enjoys growing as much of her own food as possible, swimming, coaching her daughters’ volleyball and basketball teams, reading, and traveling.
