A group of people in period clothing pose for a photo for the play "The Importance of Being Earnest."

Thoughts from the Director:

The Importance Of Being Earnest weaves a story of hidden double lives and their hilarious consequences. Bachelors Algernon Moncrieff and John (Jack) Worthing each take on the name Ernest in order to woo their respective loves, Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew, two young ladies who are certain they could never be happy married to a man named something other than Ernest. But even the cleverest of men will have trouble keeping up this ruse, especially with the formidable Lady Bracknell around. Delightfully witty, Oscar Wilde’s “trivial comedy for serious people” is sure to entertain.
