Events

Lumberjack Games

A Balyo and Davidson tradition since 2009, residents compete by hall groups in classic lumberjack games. Events include archery, log roll/joust, bear claw, relay races, two-man buck, and tug-of-war. It spans two nights, and the winning hall gets their RA’s name engraved into a ceremonial axe.

Praise and Pancakes

Held approximately every other week, this evening includes worship and either testimony or prayer, followed by pancakes and community fellowship.

B.A.D. Battles

A spring tradition between Balyo and Davidson! Each year has a new theme (eg. Jumanji, Mario Brothers, Disney, and Fortnite). The first day features mini-games, and the second day includes a campus-wide challenge. The winning team receives themed t-shirts.

Banquets

Each semester, Balyo hosts a themed banquet where residents dress up and enjoy a multi-course meal served by their RAs. Past themes have included the 1920s and Italian Water.

Other Activities

Halls also have RA-led Bible studies, activities, small groups, and monthly community gatherings.
