About Dr. Bernard

Dr. Bernard brings decades of experience in public accounting, having worked as an auditor, technology consultant, and valuation consultant. He teaches accounting and finance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, combining professional expertise with a heart for students.

Dr. Bernard began his career at Corban University in 1987. Over the years, he has held a wide range of roles, including Business Faculty, Department Chair, Associate Academic Dean, Dean of Arts and Sciences, Vice President for Academics, Dean of Information Services, and, currently, Dean of the Hoff School of Business.

A faithful servant-leader, Dr. Bernard also serves as Corban’s Faculty Athletic Representative, Chair of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Faculty Athletic Representatives Association, and a member of the NAIA National Eligibility Committee. He is a two-time recipient of the NAIA’s Wally Schwartz Faculty Athletic Representative of the Year award.

Bryce married Julie (‘81) in 1981. They have three children, all of whom graduated from Corban University—Bryan (’07), Jason (’09), and Carrie (’12)—and ten grandchildren. He enjoys music, golf, and baseball.

Recently Taught Courses

Attending Corban University as students and building relationships with faculty had a tremendous impact on the lives of my wife and me. Teaching at Corban has been a blessing to our family, and the lifelong relationships that I have been able to build with students, now alumni, have been a gift from God. There is no other place that I would rather teach than Corban. It is truly a place where our faith is deepened and our commitment to ‘life and career as ministry’ is developed as we study, work, and live life together.
