About Dr. Egan
Dr. Amanda Egan has spent much of her career providing integrated behavioral healthcare in medical settings, where she’s passionate about collaborative patient care and reducing mental health stigma. She currently serves as the Medical Director of Behavioral Health at Santiam Hospital & Clinics. Her background also includes work at the Psychiatric Crisis Center and Options Family Counseling, as well as completing her internship at Adventist Medical Center’s inpatient psychiatric unit in Portland.
Amanda is married to her husband, Tyler, and together they have five children—Jacob, Sydney, Braeden, Takoda, and Kiera—along with two dogs, two cats, and a flock of chickens. Nearly empty nesters, they enjoy spending time outdoors. Amanda loves paddleboarding, hiking, strength training (but never running), and backpacking—her favorite tradition is a solo 4–5 day summer backpacking trip with one of her dogs.
