Which Program is Right for You?

The Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) is for individuals who have already earned their bachelor’s in education and, in many cases, have already been actively involved in a teaching career. The M.S.Ed. helps current teachers take the next step in their career as they pursue additional leadership responsibilities, pay increases, and specializations such as ESOL.

The Graduate Teacher Licensure (GTL) program is designed for those who have a bachelor’s degree in any subject and want to pursue their teaching certification so they can begin teaching. The GTL takes experience you’ve already gained in other fields and equips you to teach any level from early education through high school.

The Graduate Teacher Licensure – Endorsement-Only option is for those looking to expand their teaching credentials with an additional endorsement on their existing Oregon teaching license. Choose from 14 elementary and secondary content areas.

The Principal Licensure program provides a pathway into leadership for educators who want to move into administration and obtain an Oregon principal license. This can be a stand-alone program for those who already have a master’s degree, or it may be combined with the M.S.Ed.

Your education history and career goals will help determine which program is right for you!
