About Professor Alburn
Professor Alburn has been an educator in the Salem-Keizer School District for 17 years, and a member of Corban’s faculty since 2017. During her years as a middle school educator, she taught language arts, specializing in intervention classes for struggling readers. Along with her teaching duties, she taught and coordinated the AVID program for her school and led numerous after school clubs and activities.
Married to her husband, Jacob, since 2004, together they enjoy raising their four children. In her free time, Rebecca loves exploring nature, volunteering at her local church, and cheering on her kids at their sporting events.

I firmly believe that teaching is a ministry and calling from the Lord. I find great joy in mentoring new teachers, and Corban is an incredible place to ‘pass the torch’ to future educators who will, in turn, be a light to their students.
