About Corban

“Being at Corban, I have become more independent. I am confident and I improved my English. I am more mature and have grown closer to God.” – Miké Toam, Indonesia

Location

Corban is located in Salem, Oregon, on the west coast of the U.S., close to Portland, Oregon. Seattle is to the north and Los Angeles to the south. Oregon is a beautiful place to study and live. Plus, Corban is ranked by Safe at Last as the safest university campus in Oregon and one of the top 10 safest campuses in the U.S.

Movies, shopping, restaurants and coffee shops are ten minutes away in downtown Salem. Plus, Corban is just 25 minutes from the Woodburn Premium Outlets and 50 minutes from Portland, where you can find restaurants, markets, theaters, shopping, the Oregon Zoo, and an international airport.

Our students also enjoy things like:

  • hiking at Silver Creek Falls
  • visiting the Oregon coast, just an hour away
  • touring the Columbia River Gorge and Multnomah Falls (the second tallest waterfall in the U.S.)
  • snowboarding and skiing in the mountains

Some international students even go on mission trips or study abroad for a semester in another country!

Student Life

Corban’s vibrant student life makes it easy to get involved with other international and American students. We are known for our friendly, close-knit community, and there is always something happening on campus. Activities on campus include:

  • Music
  • Drama
  • Worship nights
  • 16 collegiate sports
  • Intramural and recreational sports
  • Bible studies
  • Student government
  • Clubs
  • Ministries
  • …and much more!

World Outreach Week on campus is another way we focus on what God is doing around the world. International students also host an international chapel each year where they introduce themselves and their cultures through media, leading worship and sharing in creative ways.
