Learn about music events happening at Corban University!

All events are held in the Psalm Performing Arts Center on Corban’s campus and are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.

General Student Recital

April 2 – 12:00 p.m.

This recital will feature solo performances by Corban music students on various instruments. Pieces can range from classical to contemporary works, including some student compositions.


Junior Recital – Ericka Heether, clarinet

April 7 – 7:00 p.m.

Miss Heether presents her junior recital as a Performance major along with collaborative pianist Brenda Winberg. This recital will include musical compositions by Vaughan Williams, Stamitz, and more.
This recital is free and open to the public. Doors open for seating at 6:30 p.m.


General Student Recital

April 9 – 12:00 p.m.

This recital will feature solo performances by Corban music students on various instruments. Pieces can range from classical to contemporary works, including some student compositions.


Middle School Band & Orchestra Festival

April 11 – All Day

Corban University hosts this festival for regional middle school performing groups. Each group will perform on-stage and then receive feedback from the guest adjudicators.


Graduation Lecture Recital – William Parker

April 14 – 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Parker presents his final project as a music major. This lecture recital will explore the music of different cultures present in the Salem area.
This recital is free and open to the public. Doors open for seating at 3:30 p.m.

Senior Recital – Devin Desmond, percussion

April 16 – 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Desmond presents his final recital as a Performance major along with collaborative pianist Brenda Winberg. This recital will include musical compositions by Delecluse, Rosauro, and more, including one of Desmond’s original works.
This recital is free and open to the public. Doors open for seating at 3:30 p.m.

Spring Jazz Night

April 23 – 7:30 p.m.
(note the change from April 25 to Tuesday the 23rd)

The Corban Jazz Band and Chamber Choir come together to bring you a lively selection of big band, modern, and vocal jazz.
This concert is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 7:00pm


Corban Music Spring Showcase

April 26 – 7:30 p.m.
Tickets: $5 Per Person—$15 Max Per Household
Students, Corban Employees, and Seniors 62+ free at the door with I.D.

Corban’s Band, Choir, and Orchestra come together for the final concert of the academic year. Tickets can be purchased at the door beginning 45 minutes before the concert, or here beginning March 1.
