Peter came to Western Baptist College from 1978-1983.  During his tenure he was chair of the Music Department and expanded the Christmas program by developing The Living Christmas Tree. He also established the MastersTouch, a full-time singing group.

 

He began his teaching career at high schools in Indiana and California. From 1969-1976 he served as chair of the music department of Los Angeles Baptist College. Since leaving Western, Peter has served as minister of music at Blackhawk Baptist Church and North Park Community Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He served on the advisory board for the Worship and Celebration Hymnal, published in 1988 and as associate editor for The Worship Planner and Worship Resource Edition of the Celebration Hymnal in 1999. 

Peter is presently executive director of the LCT Foundation and minister of music at North Park Community Church. In 1963 he married his wife Carol, they have three children: Lisa (Scott) Qualls, both graduates of Western, Peter (Heather) graduate of Liberty University and Andrew (Jennifer) graduate of Liberty University and the School of Law, Indiana University. The Kobe’s have 8 grandchildren.
