What do safari adventures, cross-cultural ministry, college credit, and Corban University have in common?
Camp10 is a Corban-accredited study abroad program in Limpopo Province, South Africa. Situated in the 2,500-acre Mackouwkuil Game Lodge and Conference Centre deep inside the spectacular (malaria-free) Waterberg biosphere, Camp10 is where adventure meets purpose.
Building on the success of the inaugural Camp10 session in 2017, Corban University and Camp10 will now offer this unique study abroad opportunity to both high school and college students. Participants will earn nine college credits through Corban University in addition to gaining valuable cross-cultural experience in a stunning location.
The High School session runs June 23–July 13, 2018 and is open to students in the first, second, or third year of high school.
New in 2018 is the College Session, which runs July 14–August 4, 2018 and is open to current high school seniors and college students up to age 22.
Both sessions are instructed by Corban University professors and local experts, who teach courses on Cross Cultural Intelligence and Christian Worldview (High School Session) and Cross Cultural Intelligence and South African History & Politics (College Session). Afterward, students take an online course through Corban University.
CAMP10 is an initiative from Teach Every Nation (TEN), co-sponsored by Corban University. Key leadership and support is provided at the TEN campus by Walk Thru the Bible. A collaborative leadership team of Camp10 Director and staff, SilverRingThing leaders, and Corban University Resident Assistants engage with students, challenging them to Christ-honoring choices and a stronger walk with God.
In addition to exploring the beauty of the game park and earning college credit, Camp10 students also serve local South African communities in Christ’s name, providing outreach to orphans, distributing food and clothing, evangelizing, and devoting time to praise and worship. Other highlights include fishing, swimming in a pool, stargazing, hiking, and caring for animals in the game park.
Whether you're a high school or college student, don't miss the opportunity to get ahead in your college education while gaining an incredible cross-cultural experience where adventure meets purpose.
Scholarships are available! Check out camp10.org for more information and apply by March 31. Applications may be reviewed after March 31, pending availability.
Camp10 and Corban University will also be seeking to hire up to four Corban University students as Resident Assistants for part or all of Camp10 (June 23–August 4).
