Spring issue of "Dedicated" now online

Tuesday, March 18, 2014

The spring issue of “Dedicated” is now online and introduces readers to other parts of the world.

Annette Harrison, Ph.D., professor of intercultural studies, shares what her Bible translation teams learned in Africa and how those lessons can enhance ministries at home.

Mark Jacobson, D.Min., professor of biblical studies, describes his explorations of the other biblical land, Jordan. That nation contains many important and beautiful sites for the Christian explorer that are often forgotten when Bible events are discussed.

Greg Trull, Ph.D., dean of the School of Ministry, writes a review of “The Baker Illustrated Guide to Everyday Life in Bible Times.” This is a fresh resource by John Beck for those interested in discovering how biblical characters lived and how that helps us understand the Scripture’s message.

Gary Derickson, Ph.D., professor of biblical studies, recommends “Four Views on the Role of Works at the Final Judgment,” edited by Alan Stanley. This is a good resource for pastors and teachers looking for insight into issues of works and grace.
