On Thursday Oct. 11, 2012 internationally acclaimed Christian author, speaker and founder of the Crescent Project, Fouad Masri will speak at Corban University’s Pavilion 109.

“The opportunity to have Fouad Masri speak at Corban is a huge honor,” said Nika Payne, a Corban senior who hopes to minister in the Muslim world. “I’ve been privileged to hear him speak at other seminars, Mission Connection in Portland and Urbana in St. Louis, and I’ve always come away with an awe of what God’s doing around the world in reaching Muslims with the love of Christ.”

Masri was born and raised in the war zone of Beirut, Lebanon. As a third generation pastor, he has a passion for sharing the love of Jesus Christ with Muslims. Masri is an ordained minister and has been ministered to Muslims since 1979. He has trained nearly 11,000 North American Christians to sensitively and purposefully share their faith with Muslims through both the Bridges One-Day and Sahara Challenge training programs. He has served as a guest instructor at several universities and Christian ministries and has been featured in several media publications, including Christianity Today, Newsweek, Mission Network News, and on CBN, TBN, the Janet Parshall Show and Prime Time America.

“What attracts me to Fouad’s ministry is simply the desire to answer the Great Commission’s call to make disciples,” said Payne. “And he tells so many stories about Muslims coming to the Lord, the discipling process, and the impact these individuals are now having.”
