For more than a decade, Salem has lifted its hearts, hands and voices in praise. In March this unique tradition will continue with Corban University’s 11th Annual Hymn Festival in Salem.
The Hymn Festival will be held March 3 and 4 at the First Presbyterian Church of Salem. The evening events will feature a choir, symphony orchestra, pipe organ and piano. The audience is invited to sing along and enjoy our rich hymn heritage.
The theme, Work! For the Night is Coming, examines the gifts God gives us as well as our call to serve Him. Along with popular and lesser-known hymns, there will be readings by Gina Ochsner, Virginia Cross and Timothy Anderson.
The Hymn Festival is free and family friendly. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and doors open at 7 p.m. A donation offering will be accepted during the performances.
The First Presbyterian Church of Salem is located at 770 Chemeketa St. NE. For more information call Tina Brown at (503) 375-7019 or e-mail her at email@example.com.
