Professional

Dr. Payne has been involved in education since 2000, beginning with non-directive play therapy/group instruction and general teaching for elementary-aged students. He has taught in kindergarten, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and in high school. He also spent five years as the Director of Education for Amen Clinics, Inc., and an additional three years as their Director of Human Resources.

Dr. Payne is the author of several books and programs, including: Brain Thrive by 25 (2018), Change Your Brain, Change Your Life Before 25 (2014), Understanding Differences in Perceptions of Effective Urban Elementary School Principals Among Various Educational Stakeholders (2012), Making a Good Brain Great: High School Course (2009), and What I Learned from a Penguin: A Story on How to Help People Change (2006).

Personal

Jesse has been married since 2004 and has two wonderful children. He was born and raised in San Diego, California. His interests include football, technology, and cars.
