First place winners in each category receive $50 dollars and an all-day tuition waiver to a day of their choice at the Portals Creative Writing Conference at Corban University June 20-23, 2013

Second Place winners in each category receive $25 dollars and an all-day tuition waiver to a day of their choice at the Portals Creative Writing Conference at Corban University June 20-23, 2013

All finalists will be notified by June 1. Winners will be announced Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Psalm Center on the Corban University campus. Following the evening presentations, Finalists and winners will have an opportunity to read/perform their work at the open mic sessions at the Portals Creative Writing Conference at Corban University.
DEADLINE: May 23, 2013 (postmark date)
Poetry Contest
Open to high school-aged students in the greater Salem, Oregon area who register for the conference.
- One poem entry per student.
- Poem should be unpublished
- 30 lines or less
- Typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font
- No pictures or drawings included

Short Story Contest
