"Hello! I am so glad you are visiting the Corban web site right now… and am glad to share my Corban experience with you! During my senior year of High School I visited Corban and fell in love with the people! I hope that you will come and visit us here! Attending Corban was one of the best decisions I ever made and now I get to share why I chose Corban with you! Feel free to contact me and ask questions!"

1.  Word or Phrase that describes you? Treasure Hunter! (I absolutely love Goodwill, Value Village….and the idea of metal detecting!) hee hee

2.  What’s your favorite thing to do in Salem? Go to a coffee shop downtown, play cards with my husband, and people watch!

3.  What do you love about Corban? I love that Corban is a place where you can continually grow! You are constantly learning about the characteristics of our Maker through professors and peers. The people here are constantly challenging and shaping you into the person that God has designed you to be! It is amazing!

4. Favorite Corban Tradition? I would say my favorite tradition that just recently started is the “Lumberjack Games.” The Lumberjack Games is put on by the men of Davidson Hall.  The men of Davidson dress up like Lumberjacks and compete against each other in many entertaining events! Some of the events include axe throwing, flapjack eating, log rolling, and cross-cut sawing. You get to stand around and be entertained while sipping on hot chocolate!

5. What is your most embarrassing moment while working on the Corban admissions team? I was taking a visitor on a tour and I took her to a women’s dorm where they were laying new carpet. We got to a section where there was no carpet and kept walking. Little did I know that we would get stuck in the stickiest carpet glue ever. We stopped in our tracks and took a step back and there are shoes were stuck to the ground! We eventually peeled them off and back on our feet! OOPS!

6. If you had to be on a reality TV show which one would you be on and why? I would be on “So you think you can dance.” I love to dance and it would be fun to learn all the different types of dances…specifically ballroom and swing dancing!!

7.  If a movie was being made of your life and you could choose the actor/actress to play you, who would you choose and why? Hmmm I would have to choose Meg Ryan. She is funny but a little dorky….I would say I am pretty dorky…this is a genetic trait that has been passed on to me!! Note: Specifically Meg Ryan from You’ve Got Mail. I even was inspired by her to cut my hair short when I was in High School!

8.  Of all the Saved by the Bell characters, I am most like Screech because: I say things that I think are funny and nobody else does…sometimes I just say them in my head though and laugh….definitely got that from my husband!

9.  If you could live anywhere for one year, all expenses paid, where would you live? I would have to go somewhere I have never been before so I would pick Italy. I am a quarter Italian so I would love to go and learn more about the culture there and see if I can find any of my family!

10.  When was the last time you did something for the first time?  What was it? I went cliff jumping in Hawaii (The Big Island) at a place called South Point (the southern most tip of the United States). It was a huge cliff…maybe 50-60 feet…scary! That was last year and I don’t think I will do it again!

11. What advice would you give to your incoming students? Be open to what the Lord has in store for you here at Corban! Get involved and live in the dorms for at least a year if you can!
