"I am so excited that you are looking into Corban! It is definitely a place for you to be challenged both academically and spiritually. Corban provides a place where both staff and faculty wish to invest in your life. I know that during my time here I was able to make my beliefs my own and was challenged to invest in those around me."
1. Word or Phrase that describes you? “Happiness-FREE to sing, laugh, dance…create!” -Anonymous
2. What’s your favorite thing to do in Salem? I love spending time with family and friends and going to places like the Wild Pear and Sushi Kyo for lunch!
3. What do you love about Corban? I love that it is located in the beautiful Northwest. The campus itself is beautiful. You have to visit!!!
4. Favorite Corban Tradition? Barn Party-I love square dancing!
5. What is your most embarrassing moment while working on the Corban admissions team? Let’s just say it involves laughter and then having to leave work.
6. If you had to be on a reality TV show which one would you be on and why? It would have to be the Amazing Race because you get to travel all over the world.
7. If a movie was being made of your life and you could choose the actor/actress to play you, who would you choose and why? Sandra Bullock-she is so down to earth in her movies like “Two Weeks Notice” and “While You were Sleeping.” I can relate to her humor and definitely want people to feel like they can relate to my experiences.
8. Of all the Saved by the Bell characters, I am most like ________, because: Screech. Heidi said I was and I guess I add some comic relief to the office without trying. : )
9. If you could live anywhere for one year, all expenses paid, where would you live? Maybe Norway, since I have more and more friends there, and while I was there, I would hop over to England to visit my cousin.
10. When was the last time you did something for the first time? What was it? I ate four or five small plates of sushi in about 20 minutes.
11. What advice would you give to your incoming students? Get involved at Corban and in a local church. You will be so glad you did! Also, go on at least one mission’s trip while you are a student and if possible do a study abroad. |
