"I love it here at Corban!  I had a great experience that changed my life and I love to share that with others. This is a great school that I believe has a lot to offer students and if they want to be here I want to help them make that happen. So, shoot me an e-mail or give me a call and I’d love to help you out however I can and tell you about Corban."

1. Word or Phrase that describes you?  Still Waters Run Deep.  A person’s calm exterior often conceals great depths of character, just as the deepest streams can have the smoothest surfaces.  It takes a while to really get to know me.

2.  What’s your favorite thing to do in Salem?  I love to do most anything outside.  Going to a park to read, hang out with friends, and play volleyball, tennis, Frisbee, golf something along those lines. There are also some great places to hike around Salem.

3.  What do you love about Corban?  I love the people and community. I have made great friends here who I know I will keep for the rest of my life.

4. Favorite Corban Tradition?  The Beach Party, about the second week of school the whole school goes to the coast for the day and I have a lot of great memories from those trips.

5.  What is your most embarrassing moment while working on the Corban admissions team?  My first year working here I was at a college fair at the convention center in downtown Portland.  I had my suitcase and briefcase full of college materials (which was very heavy) and I was trying to figure out to get downstairs.  I could not find an elevator so I decided to try the escalator.  For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to have the suitcase go first.  Well, it started down the escalator and went on down with out me.  Everyone down below was looking up at like they were waiting to see if I would cry or what I would do.   Luckily the suitcase didn’t take anyone out on the way down so I just went down and picked up my stuff.

6.  If you had to be on a reality TV show which one would you be on and why?  Something like The Amazing Race so I could travel and see new places.

7.  If a movie was being made of your life and you could choose the actor/actress to play you, who would you choose and why?  I think I would pick Kate Winslet.  I haven’t seen too many of her movies but I liked her in Finding Neverland and The Holiday and a few others I can’t think of.  She seems classy and is in interesting roles.

8.  Of all the Saved by the Bell characters, I am most like __________,  because:  I think I have to say Jessie just because she was kind of a control freak and I can be kind of a control freak too.

9.  If you could live anywhere for one year, all expenses paid, where would you live?  Australia, I’ve always wanted to go to the place where the Man from Snow River was filmed.  I love the mountains and it looks gorgeous.

10.  When was the last time you did something for the first time?  What was it?  I ran a marathon about two years ago for the first time, it may also have been my last.

11. What advice would you give to your incoming students?  Be ready for anything and open to new things.  Your experience will probably be better and more challenging than you thought and you never know how the Lord will lead you in your life.
