Missing Person Protocol
When a person has been missing 24 hours or there is immediate concern of self-harm or harming of others, the Corban Emergency Plan should be followed. Contact will be made immediately with the Chief of Security. Contact then should be established with the Resident Director, Director of Student Life, and the Dean of Students.
Upon receiving this information, the Resident Director, Director of Residence Life, Dean of Students and the Chief of Security will do a preliminary assessment and inquiry concerning the person’s absence in hopes of locating them.
If the person is unable to be located, the Missing Person’s Report must be filled out immediately by the person who has done the inquiry.
The Chief of Security, Dean of Students, Director of Residence Life, and the Resident Director will work together to decide the next form of action, including the determination of when law enforcement and parents will be informed. A copy of the Missing Person Report will be provided to law enforcement upon their arrival.
The Vice President of Student Life or the Chief of Security will be responsible for notifying the President of Corban and the Vice President of Marketing should a report be made to law enforcement.
