Accomplishments: Former Dean of the European Chapter of the American Guild of Organists; Author of 13 articles in Worship Music: A Concise Dictionary; Adjudicator at music events sponsored by the Association of Christian Schools, International, Schools of Tomorrow, and the Oregon Music Teachers Association.

Organizational Service: Salem Chapter of the American Guild of Organists; Salem District of the Oregon Music Teachers Assoc. - affiliated with the Music Teachers National Assoc. (newsletter editor for the local district); Hymn Society in the U.S. and Canada; College Music Society; the Southern Baptist Church Music Conference; Mu Phi Epsilon (professional music fraternity).

Likes travel, growing flowers, walking, and reading. Has lived in 7 different states as well as in Liberia and Germany. Family: Husband, James Cross, Jr., is a minister. Has two children: son James Cross III is an analyst with Franklin Templeton in San Mateo, and lives in Redwood Shores, CA with wife, Kellee. Daughter Julie is living in Germany.
