Teaching: I love teaching in Corban's vibrant liberal arts setting. My courses include freshmen and advanced writing, literature, logic, and philosophy.
Research: I am primarily interested in Renaissance and Enlightenment thought. My book, Rhetoric, Science, and Magic in Seventeenth-Century England, appeared at The Catholic University of America Press in 2009, and my research has also landed in journals such as The Journal of the History of Ideas, Philosophy and Rhetoric, Studies in Philology, 1650-1850, Milton Quarterly, Renaissance and Reformation, The Journal of Advanced Composition, and Rhetoric Review. I am currently working on Reformation theology and rhetoric.
Personal: I like gothic architecture.
