" In reality, I did not choose Corban. The Lord chose Corban for me. I was looking for some part-time employment and was presented with the opportunity to teach here full time. It is the fulfillment of a dream I thought would never happen.
The education program at Corban is unique and highly respected. Not only do we prepare students in the science of teaching, we also stress the art of teaching. Students who complete our program generally have a passion for teaching, a strong sense of mission and of representing Jesus in the classroom. Administrators in the Salem area have a high regard for Corban education graduates."

Married since 1963 after meeting at a Christian college students’ retreat at Mt. St. Helens in the days when it was a beautiful, symmetrical, snow-covered peak.
"We have two children and five grandchildren. Our son is a high school English teacher and our daughter is a homemaker, wife, and mother. We lived five years in Taiwan where I taught at a school for missionary children. It was a highlight of my teaching career. One of our favorite memories of our time there was a cross-island motorcycle trip during the downpour from a typhoon. The wind almost blew us over on several occasions, and we were soaked to the skin. We enjoy traveling to places in the United States where we haven’t been, and we usually take along our golf clubs or cross-country skis, depending on the season."
