Background: I began working at Corban in 1992 after applying at the invitation of the then VP of Academics, Julie Jantzi.
The exciting difference in Corban’s mission from all other area schools is the fact that we teach from the perspective that every discipline is a God-given ministry opportunity, and we prepare our graduates to be godly leaders through their work and the expression of their biblical worldview! Even though we expect academic excellence from our students, their experience and growth goes far beyond that into the areas of spiritual, personal and professional growth.
Memberships: For many years we have been heavily involved in Sunday school, worship team, deacon board and other ministries at North Salem Baptist Church, but have just recently made a move closer to home to West Hills Community Church and hope to become involved there as well.
Published: The Patmos Conspiracy, Evangel Press, Nappanee, IN.
Personal: I grew up in Southern California and married my high school heartthrob, Linda. In 40 years (1967) our family has grown to include three sons, 10 grandchildren and a miniature dachshund, who make our lives a rich and sometimes complex mulligan stew.
My interests include hiking, bicycling, rafting, photography, astronomy, guitar, recorder, drawing, painting and American history.
Living in the twilight world of ambidexterity, I do nearly equal numbers of things right, left and both-handed, probably attributable to an early brain injury of some kind.
My favorite quote is Albert Einstein’s oft-repeated maxim, “There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
