A closeup of the original patio area which was a cement slab dating back to 1905. It will be replaced with a newly expanded amphitheater stage. Asphalt and gravel paths will be upgraded to cement sidewalks.

Initial planning called for new staircases, sidewalks, paths, lawn terracing, and new stage area. Construction of improved sidewalks for foot traffic from the upper campus is combined with open areas and landscaped gardens to enhance the area and accommodate a natural amphitheater for small to medium sized outdoor events.
