Corban again ranked in Top Ten/Baccalaureate Colleges

In the latest U.S.News & World Report rankings, Corban is ranked 6th in the west. For the seventh year in row Corban was ranked as a top ten Best Baccalaureate college in the west--the only Christian College in the Northwest to be ranked in the top ten. Corban was also ranked as a Best Value by the magazine, ranked 3rd in the West. Corban is the highest ranked Best Value for a Christian College in the Western region. Corban moved up two spots in the best value rankings from 5th last year.
In the Baccalaureate Colleges category, these institutions focus on undergraduate education and offer a range of degree programs—in the liberal arts, which account for fewer than half of their bachelor’s degrees, and in professional fields such as business, nursing, and education. The 319 colleges in this category are ranked within four geographic regions: North, South, Midwest, and West.
Corban is the Best Value for a Christian College, Baccalaureate Colleges in the western region which includes 15 states. The formula used to determine which colleges and universities offer the best value relates a school’s academic quality, as indicated by it 2009 U.S. News ranking, to the 2007-2008 academic year net cost of attendance for a student who receives the average level of need-based financial aid. The higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal.”
U.S. News reported that 85% of our students received need based aid. The average cost after receiving need based aid $19,282, and the average discount from total cost $36%.
The Western Region includes 15 western states including Texas and Oklahoma and includes 47 schools.
