New Registrar joins Corban administration

April 24, 2009

Chris Vetter has accepted the position of Registrar at Corban College & Graduate School, effective July 2009. Vetter is currently acting Registrar and Associate Dean of Academic Administration for Briercrest College and Seminary in Caronport, Saskatchewan, Canada. He has been an administrator at Briercrest for nine years.

Completing his Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University, Vetter holds a B.A. in Bible and Theology from Briercrest College and a M.A. in Leadership and Management from Briercrest Seminary. The focus of his dissertation is working with leadership competency models for leaders of non-profit organizations.

Vetter is a member of both the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC) and the Western Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (WARUCC). He has also taught fundamental leadership classes at Briercrest, as well as overseas.

The most significant factor that drew him to Corban, Vetter said, was its “heart and mind” focus for education. “The mission of Corban is a good fit for what I want to be a part of and see happen.”

Corban’s current Registrar, Rita Wright, is stepping down after 30 years of service. She will remain on staff as Assistant to the Registrar during the transition period next year.
