Vic Hubbard, beloved by many friends and alumni for the past several decades, passed away at his home with his family, Saturday, May 26th.

For the past several weeks he had been in declining health -- afflicted with a respiratory ailment and was anticipating his homegoing. The Corban family is upholding the family in prayer as we prepare to gather together for a time of remembrance.

The family has chosen to host a Celebration of Life service which will be held at the Psalm Performing Arts Center on the Corban campus, Friday June 1st, at 1:00 p.m. Alumni who were a part of the music program at the college are invited to join a choir practice an hour early (at 12:00 p.m.) in the Psalm Center. Dr. Richard Caulkins will direct the alumni choir with the old favorite choral song, "When He Shall Come."  If possible please let Dorothy James know if you will be able to be in the choir (503) 375-7000.

Alumnus David Morrison ('66), Pollock Pines, CA, has been asked to officiate at the service, Dorothy James ('58), Salem, OR,  is the accompanist, and special music will be presented by Ruth Edwards-Robinson-LaFreniere ('67) Salem, OR, and Paul Eisentrager ('67) Bellingham, WA. Dr. Virginia Cross will represent the music department with remarks about Vic's ministry at the College.

A reception is planned after the service for friends and family to be able to spend time together.

Corban will post updates on its website and will also accept tributes from alumni and friends who are outside the Salem area. To submit a tribute to be posted, please email Steve Hunt (shunt@corban.edu).
