Homecoming Week 2005

February 3rd-5th celebrated Homecoming Week on campus, and three evenings of fun activities for students, alumni and Warrior basketball fans.
Students, faculty and staff first participated in the 1st Annual Homecoming Talent Show on Thursday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. Eighteen student acts and one staff-student entry highlighted the first annual Homecoming Talent Show emceed by Professor Don Leavitt. The winners included:
- 1st- Matt Larson, performed the dance from the movie "Napoleon Dynamite"
- 2nd- Stacey Casebier, sang "Titanic" theme song with her mouth closed
- 3rd- 8 Swing Dancers, dancing to "In the Mood"
Friday and Saturday the Warriors hosted women's and men's basketball teams from Northwest College and Evergreen State respectively. During halftime of Friday's men's game, over 40 members of Keizer's Jumping Stars, a middle-school jump roping team, took the floor and entertained the crowd. Following the game the 2005 Homecoming Court was introduced and a new king, Kenny Stone, and queen, Kim Jones, were crowned by last year's royal pair, Seth and Jenni Burke.
On Saturday evening WB's President, Reno Hoff, hosted a light dinner with dessert for alumni and friends of the college upstairs at C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.
