Giving is Up for 2004

Through the end of 2004 the college’s year-end giving is reportedly to be “well above average” and the on-going Capital Campaign is on track to raise the $9.9 million needed to complete the advancement goals by June 2006.

From June through December the college received $1.6 million in donations which are being directed to various funds and project areas. WB’s campaign consultant, Vic Atchison, has been very pleased with the increases in giving by friends of the college.

“While this is good news and I’m very encouraged and happy with the support we received in 2004, we must continue to increase that support to meet the needs of students and the building facilities projects on campus.”

Atchison added that more support is needed to increase scholarship funds for deserving students. “Our friends, alumni and foundations have given more than $7 million for the Capital Campaign,” he says, “so, funding for various projects has been steady. We’re very grateful for what God has provided.”

Atchison also says building a permanent $3 million endowment for the college is also an important part of the campaign goal.
