Annual Turkey Trot brings 200
plus participants

Brisk temperatures and a beautiful day greeted more than 200 participants in WB's annual Turkey Trot run-walk race, Nov. 22. The fun pre-Thanksgiving event always attracts students dressed in a variety of costumes that bring smiles to faces and add to the flavor of the student and staff event.

More than 50 people each won one of hundreds of dollars in donated prizes that were raffled off by emcee Doug West. All raffle monies are returned to the ASB fund. Three of the top prizes included two $100 gift certificates to Winco Foods and a new blue reclining chair.

Andrew McFerron won the chair while Dustin Karstetter and Shawn Mayo each won a gift certificate. "It'll buy lots of Top Ramen and Mac & Cheese," Shawn joked.

Overall first place Turkey Trot race winners--male and female--included: Jill Neilson and Chad Hunsucker (runners); Megan Waunch and David Dorr (run-walk); and Nicole Hickman and Josh Crain (civilian runner).

The winners of the costume contest were Aaron Conger and Jim Young who dressed as "Babe and his Blue Ox."
