Beginning June 2nd, contractors began working near the current Campus Operations building to make room for the new Psalm Fine Arts Center's "building footprint." Trees have been cut, a new water line has been buried and a portion of a hillside was excavated as construction continues on the new center. More than 10 trees were removed and a section of hillside has been dug out so contractors can begin laying the new building's foundation. That work and excavation of the parking lot between Campus Operations and the Library will disrupt parking. Contractors will be removing two 4-inch water pipes and replacing them with one 8-inch pipe that'll run towards the new construction area. Employee and visitor parking will be relocated through most of the summer. |
