Alumni and students mingled at C.E. Jeffers Sports Center, Sat., Jan. 31, during Western Baptist College's annual Homecoming celebration. As they enjoyed fellowship and Warrior basketball, many were anticipating the crowning of the new Homecoming court. As is tradition, the Homecoming King and Queen were chosen by a vote of the student body. The announcement of the new reigning pair was made when each of the four senior court couples turned over a small box containing helium filled balloons. White balloons rising from the box in front of Seth Burke and Jenni Marken announced their selection as king and queen. As they were introduced, a touching Powerpoint video
presentation was shown which incorporated childhood photos and a narrated
personal history of all eight senior court members. The three other couples
included: Jimmy D' Agosta with Sarah Clement; Matt Cozby with Paula Bobrowski;
and Aaron Beamish with Danielle Smith. |
