Thursday, October 31, 2013
  • Best-selling author Allison Vesterfelt will talk about her book and living more simply during the Nov. 1 Chapel at Corban.

On Friday Nov. 1 at 10 a.m., best-selling author Allison Vesterfelt will be the guest speaker during Corban’s Chapel service.

She is the co-founder of “Prodigal Magazine” and author of the new book, “Packing Light: Thoughts on Living with Less Baggage.” The book details her decision to quit her job, move out of her apartment and sell everything she owned to visit all 50 states and achieve her dream of writing a book.

“You can’t take everything with you,” Vesterfelt said in her online bio. “What you choose to bring matters. You will have to leave some things behind.

“The message has changed my life so dramatically, I’m passionate about helping others discover their own answers to the questions that ultimately inspired my trip,” she added. “What do you really want out of life? What is getting in your way?”
