Corban interns helping families in Salem

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

At Family Building Blocks in Salem, Corban students are making a big difference in children’s lives.

Eleven Corban students are serving as interns at the Salem non-profit that helps prevent child abuse by educating young children and teaching at-risk families how to avoid potential abuse situations. The students are among 15 interns at the organization who are laying a foundation not only for kids, but their own future careers.

In her weekly column, “Forward This,” Statesman Journal columnist Capi Lynn talks about the services Family Building Blocks provides for families and how its interns are helping make its mission a reality.
