Corban’s Concert Band, Chamber Orchestra and Choirs kick off fall with two free concerts.
Corban’s Concert Band, Chamber Orchestra and choirs are kicking off full school year of performances with two free concerts in October.
On Oct. 18, the concert and chamber choirs will lift their voices with music by renowned composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach and Sergei Rachmaninov. The Chamber Choir will also sing classics from the 1960s including “My Girl” and “Unchained Melody.”
Several high school choirs will join Corban to showcase their own vocal talents.
On Oct. 19, Corban’s Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra will perform works by Brian Balmages, Johannes Brahms, Ron Nelson and others in a symphony of sound dedicated to God.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for both concerts. The music will begin at 7:30 p.m. They will be held in the Psalm Performing Arts Center on Corban’s Salem campus located at 5000 Deer Park Dr. SE, in Salem.
