Baseball player pays tribute to fallen brother

Derek Legg had a typical relationship with his brothers, Cody and D.C., when they were growing up.
On weekends the trio would spend every waking hour together and were very competitive.
To Derek, now an infielder for the Corban University baseball team, the hours joking around or quarreling seem more like days now. Memories stretch out over time, he says.
The memories of seemingly endless summer days spent playing street football or pick-up basketball are now reruns broadcast over and over in Derek’s mind.
In June of 2008, the world changed forever for the Legg brothers. Cody, a 23-year-old sergeant in the U.S. Army, was killed by enemy fire while serving in Kia, Iraq.
