Corban hires new Director of Assessment
July 29, 2011
Corban University’s new Director of Assessment has a background as diverse as the job she accepted.
Pam Teschner, PhD, has served as a middle school science teacher, the Research Director with the Oregon Department of Corrections, a budget analyst with the Oregon governor’s budget development team and the Director of Operations for the Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development.
Each of these roles has led her to Corban where she will assess the university’s strengths and find ways to make the nine-time “U.S. News & World Report” top-ranked university even better. Additionally, she will teach a variety of courses to both graduate and undergraduate students.
She is currently writing a book titled “In the Company of God.” When not putting pen to paper, she plays bass guitar at Lebanon First Baptist Church and with the all-female band, Heirborne. Teschner also writes and delivers dramatic monologues relating stories of faith and the gospel.
Teschner can be reached at Corban University at 503-375-7180 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
