Library home to new campus snack shop

Students and faculty looking for a late afternoon or evening pick-me-up now have a new option.
Provisions On Demand, better known as The POD, opened on the library’s main floor and is rapidly becoming the go-to location for sandwiches, snacks and drinks.
“Provisions On Demand is an Aramark program and we really felt it would fit well with Corban,” said Tamra Taylor, the director of food services. “We wanted to have something where we knew the students would be and the library was a perfect fit.”
The POD is open during library hours and enhances the choices available at Corban’s other campus snack venue, Common Grounds. There isn’t a barista and espresso machine, however does have an automatic cappuccino machine, cold drinks, warm foods and a variety of snacks for students on the fly.
For Taylor, the shop doesn’t just offer convenience and additional jobs for student workers, she said the décor is among her favorite features.
“I love the design,” she said. “I’m excited because it looks great it’s another option for the students on campus.”
