Student Recital

This recital will feature a variety of solo performances by Corban music students.
Senior Recital
Bethanie Farley, violin
APRIL 9, 2010, 7:30 PM (date changed from April 13, 2010)
Bethanie, a violin performance major, will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Saint-Saëns, and others. She will be accompanied by Brenda Noland.
Student Recital

Corban student musicians will perform solos by a variety of composers.
Choir Concert

The Corban Concert Choir and Chamber Choir will present the culminating choir concert of the year.

Elisa will perform selections by Mozart, Grieg, and Bartok. She will be accompanied by Brenda Noland.

ACDA Collegiate Choral Festival
APRIL 20, 2010, 12:00-6:00 PM
Pacific University, Forest Grove, OR
Corban College Choirs will be singing in the Collegiate Choral Festival sponsored by the Oregon American Choral Director Association. This quality concert is open to the public and features college and university choirs.
Jazz Night
APRIL 20, 2010, 7:30 PM
The Corban College Jazz Band will explore the history of jazz music in America: early Dixieland, Big Band swing, Be-bop, and modern styles.
Band and Orchestra Concert
APRIL 23, 2010, 7:30 PM
The Concert Band will present beautiful and exciting works by Hazo, Grainger, and Boysen, and an original composition by Corban senior Caleb Stapp. The Chamber Orchestra will perform literature from the rich orchestral tradition. Combining the two ensembles, the Corban Symphony Orchestra will play the music of Ravel and Bizet.
Lecture Recital
Brian Swearingen, piano
APRIL 24, 2010, 2:30-4:30 PM
Brian will discuss and demonstrate improvisation from the Renaissance to the present. Trained in both jazz and classical music, Brian’s major is general music.
Music Camp 2010 will not occur this summer.
