A MEMORIAL STONE STELA
This stela could date from the 12th dynasty (2050-1790 B.C.). However, Egyptian periods had culture revivals, during which the Egyptians copied the styles of their ancient predecessors. Therefore this could be much later work imitating 12th dynasty style.

The image is that of a pharaoh in 12th dynasty style. The inscription immediately beside the image reads, "The Lord of two lands," that is of upper and lower Egypt. The next column to the right reads, "Thoth the god of truth." (Dr. Lutz, Egyptologist and professor emeritus, University of California).
