Post-Baccalaureate Initial Licensure
This program is designed for preservice teachers who have a bachelor’s degree in a content area but have not completed a course of study in education. Upon completion of the program, the preservice teacher will be eligible to begin the application process for an Initial Oregon Teaching License. The program consists of 27 credits for Early Childhood and Elementary Authorization, 27 credits for Elementary and Middle Level Authorization, and 24 credits for Middle Level and High School Authorization. The following is a list of endorsements we currently provide: Biology, Business, Language Arts, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education and Social Studies. A unique feature of Corban College’s initial licensure program is that the preservice teacher is provisionally enrolled in the Master of Education program, and 9 credits can be used toward the Master of Science in Education (M.Ed.) degree.
